Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna — Schottenring 24, in the Neo-Renaissance palace designed by Theophil Hansen for the 1873 World's Fair — has been a 5-star Anantara property since 2013. The 152 rooms and 17 suites blend Viennese marble and carved cornices with the discreet refinement of Thai-rooted ARQ Spa rituals.
Restaurant Edvard holds a Michelin star for chef Robert Schickl's Nordic-Alpine cuisine; bar 1873 serves cocktails at the grand piano until 2 a.m.
Your transfer begins in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3 at Vienna Airport, where your black-suited chauffeur waits with a discreet board reading "Anantara Palais Hansen — Mr. [your name]". He assists with luggage, leads you to the Mercedes S-Class or V-Class parked metres away, and offers Vöslauer mineral water, USB-C charging, and the morning press.
The route follows the A4 motorway to Praterstern, then runs along the Donaukanal to Schottenring — 21 km in 25–35 minutes, ending directly before the hotel's historic façade.

Driving into Anantara Palais Hansen requires knowledge of the northern Ringstraße. Schottenring runs one-way, and the 07:30–09:30 and 16:30–18:30 peaks around Börseplatz can add 8–12 minutes. Guests arriving for early OPEC sessions at the secretariat (Helferstorferstraße 17, four minutes by car) use a "slow morning" pickup mode — the chauffeur collects 30 minutes earlier than usual.
During Donauinselfest (June) the entire Donaukanal corridor is partially closed; our drivers know the Wipplingerstraße alternate without losing comfort.
Anantara Palais Hansen guests are above all Asian clients of the Anantara group on a European leg (Bangkok–Doha–Abu Dhabi connections), foodies who fly in solely for dinner at Edvard (one Michelin star), commercial representatives of the OPEC-adjacent banks on Schottenring, and couples on a long weekend in ARQ Spa with authentic Thai therapies.
During Christmas markets we operate Christkindlmarkt shuttles to Rathausplatz (four minutes by car) and evening runs to Krampuslauf in Klagenfurt. Summer also brings sundowner transfers to the Heuriger taverns of Stammersdorf (35 minutes from the hotel, driver waits four hours and drives back after dinner), weekend escapes to Wachau Valley boutique wineries with overnight stays (Domäne Wachau, Schloss Gobelsburg, Nikolaihof) including sommelier briefings after Wagram Riesling release, and transfers to the Spanish Riding School for Lipizzaner Sondervorführungen.
Payment by Visa/Mastercard/Amex/JCB, BLIK, EU VAT invoice, or EUR cash. The price covers 60 minutes complimentary airport waiting, flight monitoring, complimentary child seat, bilingual meet board, and a Thai-speaking chauffeur on request with 24 hours' notice.
