Josefstadt requires familiarity with the layout of Josefstädter Strasse — the main commercial-cultural axis of the district — and Lerchenfelder Strasse with its trend restaurants. The Theater in der Josefstadt has its own drop-off zone at Josefstädter Strasse 26. During afternoon peaks (16:30-18:30) and pre-performance windows (19:00-19:30), Josefstädter Strasse becomes busy with foot and vehicle traffic. The Brunnenmarkt (on Brunnengasse) is partly pedestrian — the chauffeur drives to the entrance from Lerchenfelder Gürtel.
