Kraków Airport (KRK) → Zwierzyniec transfer

The spine of the district is Aleja Waszyngtona, leading up to Kościuszko Mound (333 m above sea level) - from the viewing terrace a panorama of Kraków, the Tatra Mountains and the Vistula valley unfolds. Next to the mound stands the Kościuszko Museum and the Salwator Cemetery, where many of Kraków's most distinguished citizens are buried. At the foot of the slope, in Salwator, sits the Convent of the Norbertine Sisters - a baroque complex with twelfth-century roots, one of the oldest in Poland. The seventeenth-century wooden church of St. Bronisława is a favourite backdrop for wedding photographers.

Zwierzyniec is the traditional residence of Kraków's intelligentsia and diplomatic corps - the streets Senatorska and Salwatorska host consular residences and diplomats' villas. Couples on a romantic weekend often choose Zwierzyniec for a Vistula promenade and a sunset on the mound. Further west stretches the Wolski Forest with Kraków Zoo - a Saturday destination for families.
