The key address of the district is the Basilica of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki at Świętej Faustyny 3 - the largest Divine Mercy sanctuary in the world. Next to the basilica stands the Convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy (founded in 1891) - the place where Saint Faustina Kowalska, mystic and author of the Diary and inspirer of the Divine Mercy devotion, lived and died. Pilgrims also visit the John Paul II 'Be Not Afraid' Centre on Aleja Jana Pawła II - a sanctuary dedicated to the saint pope, linked with Łagiewniki by the so-called Papal Trail with a wooden viewing platform over the Kraków panorama.
On Zakopiańska and Brożka stand pilgrim hotels - the John Paul II Pilgrim House, Hotel Cracovia and Hotel Pielgrzym with simple dining and accommodation for group pilgrimages. Nearby are Park Bednarskiego with an open-air amphitheatre and the Łagiewniki Cemetery with the graves of the sisters of the Congregation.
For pilgrims we handle individual and group pickups from the airport directly to the basilica - driving to the dedicated pilgrim parking zone on Faustyny street. For English- and Italian-speaking pilgrims we assign a chauffeur with the appropriate language on request. The chauffeur tracks the flight, 60 minutes of free waiting after landing are included. Fixed fare, no surcharges for traffic, night hours or luggage, VAT invoice on request.
