The ride from Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport covers about 35 km and usually takes 35-45 minutes. The route typically follows the A1 motorway southbound, then the DTŚ urban expressway or Aleja Korfantego from the city-centre side. The final stretch within the Katowice Culture Zone tends to be the slowest part of the journey on IEM or major concert days, as private cars, coaches, taxis and premium-zone guests all arrive simultaneously. Allow a realistic buffer, especially for events with a precise opening time.
After landing, your chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name board, assists with luggage and drives directly to the agreed entrance zone. Spodek has a VIP entrance on the Aleja Korfantego side and shares an underground car park with 600 spaces at the neighbouring ICC venue, directly next to the arena. If the organiser assigns a VIP entrance, hospitality area, business box or artist back-of-house zone, the drop-off is aligned accordingly. For larger corporate delegations, IEM partners and international guests, we can coordinate several vehicles so the whole group reaches the hall within one planned arrival window.
We also handle return pickups after concerts, IEM finals and special programmes, when traffic around the Culture Zone is at its densest. The meeting point is agreed in advance, usually on the calmer side of the venue on the day, and the departure time is set realistically against the end of the programme. A transfer to Spodek works well for premium concert guests, esports fans, corporate gala organisers and sponsor partners. It should be predictable and adapted to the operating logic of a hall whose importance goes well beyond a postal address.
Arrival logistics
The standard drop-off is at the entrance on Aleja Wojciecha Korfantego 35. On IEM and major concert days allow a buffer for security checks and temporary closures in the Culture Zone; the 600-space underground ICC car park sits directly next to Spodek, and for VIP entrances the stopping point is agreed before arrival.
