The ride from Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport covers about 35 km and usually takes 35-45 minutes. The route follows the A1 motorway southbound, then the DTŚ urban expressway, with the final approach from Dobrowolskiego street, on the edge of the Katowice Culture Zone next to the NOSPR, the MCK and Spodek. On opening nights, major temporary exhibitions or cultural events linking several Culture Zone institutions, the closing stretch can be slightly busier, but traffic around the museum itself remains noticeably calmer than on match or concert days.
After landing, your chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name board, assists with luggage and pulls up at the entrance on Dobrowolskiego street. The museum has roughly 300 on-site parking spaces directly next to the building, plus a stopping zone that allows guests to alight comfortably and to bring in any exhibition materials. If the visit is part of a private tour programme, an opening night, a partner dinner or a curatorial meeting, the drop-off is aligned with the organiser instruction and the timing chosen so the foyer is at its quietest.
We also handle combined rides — from the Silesian Museum to the NOSPR, the MCK, Spodek or to Katowice city-centre hotels — and pickups at the end of the visit programme. The meeting point is agreed in advance, usually on the calmer side of the venue on the day. A transfer to the Silesian Museum suits curator guests, art critics, culture patrons, partner delegations and private visitors who want to combine the exhibition experience with the rest of the Culture Zone programme without losing time to their own logistics.
Arrival logistics
The standard drop-off is at the entrance on ul. Tadeusza Dobrowolskiego 1. The 300-space car park is located directly next to the building; on opening nights and major temporary exhibitions allow for heavier traffic across the Katowice Culture Zone.
