After landing, your chauffeur meets you inside arrivals with a name board, assists with the luggage and walks you directly to the vehicle parked in the meet and greet area. Drop-off takes place right by Św. Ducha street - the hotel is set within the pedestrian zone of the Main Town, so the stop occurs briefly close to the entrance, and the chauffeur helps with luggage to reception (typically 30-50 metres on foot). Some Main Town streets are traffic-calmed zones with entry restrictions - the driver coordinates the drop-off moment with the hotel to avoid obstructing pedestrian traffic. During peak hours (08:00-10:00 and 16:00-19:00) the bottleneck is the approach to Wały Jagiellońskie, so the driver builds in 8-12 minutes of buffer. After 22:00 the transfer typically shortens to 18-22 minutes. Reception operates 24/7.
Included service covers meet and greet, live flight tracking by IATA code, 60 minutes of complimentary waiting after landing, luggage assistance, bottled water and child seats or boosters on request. We also operate early return transfers to the airport for tourists returning after a short sightseeing weekend. For families with children we particularly recommend the V-Class with luggage space, considering that the final metres must be covered on foot through the pedestrian zone. Payment is completed online by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or BLIK. Cash and on-board payments are not accepted.
Wolne Miasto guests frequently extend the brief beyond the airport transfer alone. We arrange full-day hourly dispatches with Mercedes E-Class or V-Class for excursions to Sopot, Gdynia, the Hel peninsula, Malbork Castle or Stutthof Memorial. For clients interested in the history of the Free City of Danzig 1920-1939 we also organise themed historical tours - Wisłoujście, Westerplatte, the Gdansk Shipyard and the European Solidarity Centre. Hotel Wolne Miasto is the address for clients who want to experience Gdansk from an authentic, local perspective - in a hotel whose name, decor and cuisine are part of the city's narrative, not just a place to sleep near Długi Targ.
