The transfer from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport to the European Solidarity Centre covers about 13 km and usually takes 20-30 minutes. The route normally uses the Tricity ring road (S6), the Słowackiego expressway, Aleja Grunwaldzka towards Wrzeszcz and ul. Wałowa or Nowe Ogrody to Plac Solidarności. The final stretch runs alongside the former Gdańsk Shipyard. The choice of the last streets is aligned with live traffic conditions around Brama Wyżynna and Brama Oliwska.
After landing, your chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name board, assists with luggage and brings you to the ECS entrance at Plac Solidarności. The entry zone is clearly signposted, with access to ticket desks, cloakrooms and the inner courtyard. For educational groups, European delegations and conference participants we can synchronise several vehicles arriving on the same flight or on parallel airline routes. For guests combining the ECS with the WWII Museum, we propose a one-day programme with the chauffeur waiting between locations.
A transfer to the ECS suits political-history travellers focused on Solidarity, culture-and-politics guests, educational groups aged 14 and above, and European delegations attending meetings and conferences on site. After the visit we arrange pickup from Plac Solidarności and transfer to hotels in central Gdańsk, Wrzeszcz or Sopot. The route to the ECS also combines well with the WWII Museum, Bazylika Mariacka or Westerplatte within a full-day programme.
Arrival logistics
The ECS entrance faces Plac Solidarności, next to the former Gdańsk Shipyard. The final routing is chosen between ul. Wałowa and Nowe Ogrody depending on traffic around Brama Wyżynna and Brama Oliwska; the stopping point is aligned with current on-site operations.
