Vystaviště is, above all, a historic exhibition complex from 1891, opened for the Jubilejní výstava — an event that permanently inscribed Holešovice on the map of industrial and cultural Prague. The heart of the grounds is the Průmyslový palác (Industrial Palace), a masterpiece of neo-Renaissance industrial architecture, alongside the Křižíkova fontána with its multimedia light and music shows, one of the most recognisable evening attractions in Prague. The Lapidárium of the National Museum preserves stone fragments of historic sculptures that could not be placed in the main collection. Yet it is the festival calendar that gives Vystaviště its true character — the Signal Festival lights up the pavilions in autumn with digital art installations, Letní Letná turns the grounds in July and August into a European capital of contemporary circus, Matějská pouť organises the country's largest fairground from February to April, and recurring trade fairs (For Family, Vyber si!, branch exhibitions EuropaPrague) fill the calendar all year. Cross Club, the iconic industrial nightclub of Holešovice, sits a few minutes walk from the main gate.
Logistics around Vystaviště are shaped by the scale of the complex and seasonal road closures. The standard drop-off depends on the event — the main gate from Bubenského nábřeží or from U Vystaviště (from the Výstaviště side) — and the chauffeur coordinates the day's current arrangement. During the Signal Festival and Letní Letná several streets around the grounds are closed to vehicle traffic, so for VIP pre-event arrival we plan the drop-off from the Stromovka park side — discreet and free of the crowds entering through the main gate. After the event — especially after the Křižíkova fontána shows and festival finales — pickup is organised from the side streets Dukelských hrdinů or Veletržní, because mass exits from the grounds generate 5,000-15,000 people moving simultaneously and the Bubenského nábřeží front can sit in a 30-45 minute jam. During daytime Matějská pouť we use the tourist parking next to the main gate, with a comfortable approach in calmer afternoon hours.
Vystaviště also benefits from outstanding pedestrian geography within Holešovice. The Veletržní palác (National Gallery) is 5 minutes away on foot — the boundary of industrial-chic Holešovice. The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art is 8 minutes via Poupětova street, extending a cultural day with contemporary art. Stromovka park spreads directly behind the western fence of the grounds, acting as a green buffer between the airport and the city centre. Holešovice hotels — boutique addresses in the industrial atmosphere of loft conversions — sit within a 10-minute walking radius. This pedestrian cluster means a single address can carry an entire heritage hospitality day: trade fair in the morning at Průmyslový palác, lunch near Veletržní, an afternoon at DOX and the evening Křižíkova fontána shows. We handle full days with a single point of contact responsible for the chauffeur logistics from arrival to the hotel suite.
