About this route
Route overview
Treblinka was the site of a German Nazi extermination camp operating in 1942-1943, where approximately 900,000 Polish and other European Jews were murdered. Today it houses the Museum of Struggle and Martyrdom — a branch of the Regional Museum in Siedlce. The Symbolic Memorial consists of 17,000 stones, each marking a town of origin of the victims, around a central granite obelisk with the Hebrew inscription "Never again". Nearby stands Treblinka I — the labour camp. A visit calls for silence, restrained dress and time for reflection; we recommend children aged 14 and above with adult supervision. 105 km via the S8 to Malkinia, then DK63, 1 h 30 min - 1 h 45 min off-peak. The service runs 24/7. A standard plan: 9:00 hotel pickup, 10:30 Treblinka, a tour with a licensed guide (2-3 h, booking on muzeumtreblinka.eu two weeks ahead), 14:00-15:00 return to Warsaw. From EUR 450 in a Mercedes E-Class for 1-3 passengers, EUR 550 in a V-Class for 4-6.
