Malbork Castle is the largest brick Gothic castle in the world and was the seat of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1309 to 1466, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. The three castle complexes — Low, Middle and High — include the Grand Masters' Palace, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Convent Hall with a Gothic palm vault, the Amber Museum with artefacts from the Neolithic to the 20th century and an armoury with medieval weapons. The visit takes 3-4 hours with a licensed guide (PL/EN/DE/IT). 320 km via the S7 and A1 to Malbork, then the DK22, 3 h 30 min - 4 h off-peak. The service runs 24/7.
