About this route
Route overview
The route from Prague Airport (PRG) to Zlín covers 290 km, combining the eastbound D1 motorway with the D55 expressway running south-east into eastern Moravia. Driving time is roughly 3 hours, with a brief service stop at the midpoint. Zlín is the laboratory city of European functionalism — its modern urban plan was built around the shoe empire founded by Tomáš Baťa in 1894. Industrial architecture by Vladimír Karfík, anchored by the 77-metre Baťa Skyscraper from 1938 — the oldest functionalist high-rise in Central Europe — still defines the city's identity. The route also includes the Baťa Villa, Building 21 with Karfík's celebrated office-elevator, and former factory halls converted into the university, galleries and the Bata Shoe Museum. Zlín remains the seat of Continental Barum and a centre for contemporary design, while eastern Moravia opens onward to Kroměříž with its UNESCO-listed Archbishop's Palace. We operate the transfer with a Mercedes E, S or V Class, matched to passenger count and luggage. The fare is fixed before departure, and after landing we include 60 min of complimentary waiting alongside flight tracking that updates the pickup time in real time.
