About this route
Route overview
The KTW -> WRO inter-airport route links Upper Silesia with the Lufthansa, Ryanair and Wizz Air hub in the capital of Lower Silesia: a Pyrzowice arrival with Wizz Air or Ryanair and a Wroclaw continuation with Lufthansa to Frankfurt or Munich for an onward long-haul leg. 200 km of motorway throughout — A1 from Pyrzowice to Gliwice, then A4 to Wroclaw, 2 h 15 min - 2 h 45 min off-peak. Bottlenecks are the A4 around Opole (periodic roadworks) and the A4 around Wroclaw during the 7-9 and 16-19 peaks — the city entry via the Bielany junction adds up to 30 min, and Friday afternoons can add 60 min. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle early Lufthansa departures from Wroclaw (6:30 to Frankfurt, 7:15 to Munich) after an overnight arrival into KTW. We recommend a 3 hour buffer for European departures out of WRO and 4 hours for long-haul via Frankfurt or Munich. The chauffeur pulls up at the KTW terminal with a name board and delivers you to the Strachowice terminal. Mercedes E-Class from EUR 980 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 1,250 for 4-6 with luggage. The route is popular for Lower Silesia <-> Upper Silesia business travel with luggage and for Wroclaw MICE.
