About this route
Route overview
The KTW -> WAW inter-airport route is the classic Upper Silesia business connection: a Pyrzowice arrival with Wizz Air or Ryanair and a continuation out of Chopin with LOT to the US (JFK, Toronto, Chicago) or Lufthansa/Turkish Airlines to Frankfurt, Istanbul or Tel Aviv. 290 km via the A1 to Lodz, then S8 to Warsaw, 3 h - 3 h 30 min off-peak. Pyrzowice sits 30 km north of Katowice, so the route starts right at the A1 — terminal-to-motorway is a few minutes. The bottlenecks are the A1 around Czestochowa and Piotrkow and the S8 around Warsaw during the 7-9 and 16-19 peaks (up to 45 min added), and Friday afternoons can add 90 min. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle early Chopin departures (LOT to New York 10:55, Lufthansa to Frankfurt 6:25) after an overnight arrival into KTW. We recommend a 5 hour buffer before an intercontinental Chopin departure and 4 hours for European flights. The chauffeur pulls up at the KTW terminal with a name board and delivers you to the correct Chopin terminal (Zone A or B). Mercedes E-Class from EUR 1,450 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 1,750 for 4-6 with luggage.
