About this route
Route overview
The KTW -> POZ inter-airport route links Upper Silesia with the Lufthansa, Wizz Air and Ryanair hub in Greater Poland: a Pyrzowice arrival with Wizz Air or Ryanair and a Poznan continuation with Lufthansa to Frankfurt for an onward long-haul leg. 360 km via the A1 to Lodz, then A2 to Poznan, 4 h - 4 h 30 min off-peak. Pyrzowice sits right at the A1, so the route starts on motorway immediately. Bottlenecks are the A2 around Lodz (the Strykow junction, heavy freight traffic) and the A2 around Wrzesnia — during the 7-9 and 16-19 peaks they add 30-45 min, on Friday afternoons and during the Poznan International Fair (MTP — June, November) up to 90 min. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle early Lawica departures after an overnight KTW arrival. We recommend a 4 hour buffer for European departures out of POZ and 5 hours for long-haul via Frankfurt. The chauffeur pulls up at the KTW terminal with a name board and delivers you to the Lawica terminal. Mercedes E-Class from EUR 1,550 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 1,850 for 4-6 with luggage. The route is popular for Greater Poland <-> Silesia business and for MTP delegates.
