A classic day of aristocratic Poland with a private chauffeur — Pszczyna, the pearl of Upper Silesia, combined with the Show Bison Reserve in one comfortable seven-hour plan. Standard plan: 9:30 hotel pickup in Katowice, 10:30 Pszczyna (45 km via A1 motorway, about 45 min). Visit Hochberg von Pless Castle for 2 h with a licensed guide: a neo-Renaissance palace from the 18th-19th centuries, residence of one of the wealthiest aristocratic families of Germany and Silesia, the Mirror Hall with the original 1830 Chopin piano (on which the composer played during visits to Anhalt-Kothen), a collection of 17th-century Brussels tapestries, armour and firearms, the Hochberg von Pless princely apartments with Biedermeier furniture, a library of 23,000 volumes, the Fireplace Hall, the Hunting Hall. 12:30 lunch at Restauracja Frykowka on Pszczyna Market Square (Silesian cuisine, krupniok blood sausage, Silesian sour ryebread soup, red cabbage, Silesian dumplings with roulade). 14:00 walk to the Show Bison Reserve (2 km from the centre, on foot or by transfer) — a show reserve of 25 bison living in natural conditions on 5 hectares of the Ducal Forest, 1.5 h on an educational trail with information boards and a viewing terrace, a bison-themed restaurant and a shop with bison honey (the bison is a symbol of Polish nature, 1700 individuals in Poland, Pszczyna and Bialowieza are the two cradles). 16:00 return to Katowice (45 km via A1, 45 min).
