A full day across the Krakow-Czestochowa Upland with a private chauffeur — a Renaissance castle on a limestone rock, the most famous rock in Poland and a cave bound to the legend of King Lokietek woven into one eight-hour plan. Standard plan: 9:00 hotel pickup in Katowice, 10:30 Pieskowa Skala (75 km via A4 motorway and DK94, 1 h 30). Tour of Pieskowa Skala Castle for 1.5 h — a 14th-century Renaissance castle remodelled in Italian Renaissance style in the 16th century, seat of the Szafraniec and Wielopolski families, today a branch of Wawel Royal Castle with a collection of European art of the 12th-19th centuries, the 1581 arcaded courtyard, the castle chapel, burgher chambers, panorama of the Pradnik Valley from the tower. 12:30 Hercules Club — a 25-metre limestone rock shaped like a club surrounded by rock formations, the most famous rock of Polish Jura, photo session and a short walk of 20 min. 13:00 transfer to the Pradnik Valley (10 km, 15 min) — Ojcow National Park (the smallest national park in Poland at 21 sq km). 13:30 lunch at Hotel Ojcow (Lesser Poland regional cuisine, roasted pork knuckle, Russian-style dumplings). 14:30 Lokietek Cave (the most famous Polish cave, 320 m long), a medieval legend: here King Wladyslaw Lokietek hid from the troops of Wenceslaus II of Bohemia in 1300 and a spider spun a web at the entrance and saved the king, 1 h tour with lanterns (chambers: Knight Hall, Royal Bedroom, Kitchen). 15:30 Sokole Gorge — a short walk of 30 min among limestone outcrops and pillars. 17:00 return to Katowice (75 km, 1 h 30).
