About this route
Route overview
Oxford is the academic heart of England — nearly thirty historic colleges, the Bodleian Library, the Radcliffe Camera and the narrow streets around Broad Street and Turl Street. Guests usually stay at the Randolph (Graduate Oxford), Old Parsonage or Malmaison Oxford Castle. From Heathrow the route runs along the M40 motorway end to end, so the drive is predictable — 75-110 min depending on time of day. The driver pulls up to T2, T3, T4 or T5 according to your flight number and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board. Most colleges have a legal drop-off at the porter's lodge — we confirm the final approach with the porter in advance to get you as close to your room or lecture hall as possible. Encaenia week in June, the May Day choir on Magdalen tower and Eights Week need extra planning due to street closures.
