A full-day pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Czestochowa at Jasna Gora — the most important Marian shrine in Poland (4-5 million pilgrims a year), home to the Miraculous Icon of the Black Madonna. The standard itinerary: 8:00 hotel or KRK airport pickup, 10:00 arrival in Czestochowa (142 km, A4 to Myslowice junction, then A1 and DK1 into the city), 10:15 entry to the monastery grounds (full tour of the outer fortifications, the Lubomirski Gate, the John Paul II monument), 10:45 the Basilica of the Finding of the Holy Cross (the main shrine), 11:30 the Chapel of the Miraculous Icon — the key moment of the pilgrimage, with unveiling hours at 6:00, 13:00 and 18:00 (the Pauline order's prayer, the singing of the "Bogurodzica" hymn, the icon stays unveiled for 30 minutes); the plan is built around the 13:00 slot, 12:30 visit to the Jasna Gora Treasury (votive offerings, the Black Madonna's crowns, sacred treasures from the 14th century onwards), 13:00 the Chapel of the Miraculous Icon — unveiling (participating in the prayer, 30 min), 13:30 lunch at the monastery inn "Pod Jasna Gora" or at "Viking" restaurant on Aleja NMP (broth, breaded pork, pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms, pancakes for dessert), 14:30 further sights: the Knights' Hall (Renaissance, historical paintings), the Saint Roch Bastion (defensive walls, panorama of Czestochowa), the Holy Doors (opened in jubilee years), 16:00 end, 16:30 departure, 18:30 return to Krakow, 19:00 hotel.
