About this route
Route overview
Pszczyna is one of the finest aristocratic residences in Poland — the Renaissance-Baroque Hochberg von Pless Castle with original state rooms, the Mirror Hall featuring a Chopin piano, and a tapestry collection. The Castle Park covers 156 hectares of formal avenues and ponds, while the European Bison Reserve with 25 bison sits 2 km from the centre. 100 km via the A4 motorway to Katowice, then DK1 and DK933 to Pszczyna — 1 h 30 min - 1 h 45 min off-peak. During the 7-9 and 16-19 peaks the A4 around Katowice adds 20-30 min, and up to 45 min on Friday afternoons. The service operates 24/7. The driver pulls up at the KRK terminal with a name board and delivers you to the castle gate on Brama Wybrancow Street, with parking adjacent. A typical day is arrival into KRK, transfer to Pszczyna, castle tour (2 h) and bison reserve visit (1 h), then return to a Krakow hotel or onward to Wisla, Szczyrk or Bielsko.
