About this route
Route overview
The GDN -> RZE route is the long trans-Polish delegation linking the north with the southeast: a Gdansk arrival on a scheduled carrier (KLM, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT) and a Jasionka continuation with LOT or Ryanair. RZE is the only airport in southeastern Poland with a direct LOT link to Newark (New York) — launched in 2018 and a key route for the Polish diaspora on the US East Coast. Ryanair flies from Jasionka to the UK, Ireland and Italy. 720 km via the A1 to Lodz, then S8 to Warsaw, S17 to Lublin and A4 to Rzeszow, 8 h - 9 h off-peak. The bottlenecks are the A1 around Lodz on Friday afternoons and the S8 around Warsaw. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle overnight transits for the LOT Newark departure (10:45 take-off). We recommend a 5 hour buffer before a Newark flight (TSA checks and US preclearance). The chauffeur pulls up at the GDN terminal with a name board and delivers you to the Jasionka terminal. Mercedes V-Class from EUR 2,200 for 1-6 passengers with luggage (a long route, we recommend the V-Class for comfort).
