About this route
Route overview
The GDN -> WRO route links Pomerania with Lower Silesia: a Gdansk arrival on a scheduled carrier (KLM, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT) and a Strachowice continuation with Lufthansa, Ryanair, Wizz Air or LOT. WRO is a Lufthansa hub with direct links to Frankfurt and Munich (connecting to the US and Asia), a Ryanair base for the UK and a Wizz Air base for Central and Eastern Europe. 480 km via the A1 to Lodz, then A1 and A4 to Wroclaw, 5 h - 5 h 45 min off-peak. The bottlenecks are the A1 around Lodz on Friday afternoons (up to 90 min added) and the Wroclaw approach via Bielany Wroclawskie during peak hours. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle early Lufthansa departures to Frankfurt after an overnight arrival into Gdansk. We recommend a 4 hour buffer before an intercontinental connection out of WRO via Frankfurt or Munich. The chauffeur pulls up at the GDN terminal with a name board and delivers you to the Strachowice terminal. Mercedes E-Class from EUR 1,650 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 2,000 for 4-6 with luggage.
