A full day of Teutonic Gothic — Malbork and Kwidzyn, two Teutonic Order castles from the 13th-14th centuries, woven into one logical plan with a private chauffeur. Standard plan: 9:00 hotel pickup, 10:30 MALBORK (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, the largest Gothic brick castle in the world, seat of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1309 to 1466, 21 hectares of grounds). The tour with a licensed guide runs 3-4 h and covers: High Castle (Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Great Refectory — 14th-century palm vault, Chapter Hall, Grand Masters' Palace), Middle Castle (Great Refectory, Summer and Winter Chambers of the Grand Master), Low Castle, the Amber Museum (the largest amber collection in the world), medieval armour, Teutonic collections. 14:30 lunch at "Karczma Sredniowieczna" in Sambor by the castle (knightly cuisine, wild boar, mead). 16:00 Kwidzyn — Teutonic Castle in brick Gothic style from 1322, former seat of the Pomesanian chapter, Cathedral Chapter, a 1 h tour with an audio guide. 17:30 return to Gdansk.
