About this route
Route overview
Spišský hrad is the largest castle ruin in Central Europe — four hectares of walls on a limestone dome at 634 m above sea level, inscribed by UNESCO in 1993 as part of the wider Spišské Podhradie ensemble that also includes the episcopal town of Spišská kapitula, the Gothic Church of the Holy Spirit at Žehra, and nearby Levoča (14 km). The route from BTS runs via D1 motorway and R2 across Liptov toward Spiš — more than four hours of scenic Slovak transfer. Most assignments are a one-way drop for an Eastern Slovakia multi-day programme (Spišský hrad + Levoča + Bardejov over 2–3 days), or a full-day outing with an overnight in Spiš. Mercedes E, S or V matched to the party.
