About this route
Route overview
The Prague–Žďár nad Sázavou route runs along the D1 motorway and the I-37 road south-east, in the heart of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Žďár nad Sázavou (UNESCO 1994) is home to the listed Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora — a Baroque Gothic masterpiece by Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel from 1722, built on a five-pointed star plan. A natural starting point for the UNESCO triangle with Telč and Třebíč.
