About this route
Route overview
The Prague–Třebíč route runs along the D1 motorway and the I-23 road south-east, into the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Třebíč (UNESCO 2003) is one of the best-preserved Jewish complexes in Europe: 123 buildings of the Jewish Quarter, two synagogues, a cemetery with more than 4,000 tombs, and the Romanesque-Gothic Basilica of St. Procopius from 1260 — a rare record of centuries of Christian–Jewish coexistence. A natural anchor of the UNESCO triangle with Telč and Žďár.
