About this route
Route overview
The Prague–Kroměříž route is a longer cross-regional ride on the D1 motorway through Brno and then D55 south-east — roughly 270 km and 2 h 45 min on the road. Kroměříž is the summer residence of the Archbishops of Olomouc, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1998 for its ensemble of gardens and palace, one of the best-preserved examples of Baroque architecture in Central Europe. The town's heart is the Archbishop's Palace with its Picture Gallery, home to Titian's celebrated The Flaying of Marsyas — one of the most important Renaissance paintings in the world — alongside works by Brueghel, van Dyck and Veronese. Across from the palace lies the Květná zahrada (Pleasure Garden) of 1665 — a French formal garden with rotunda and colonnade, among the purest surviving examples of a Baroque European garden. The Podzámecká zahrada, an expansive English landscape garden, completes the picture. The transfer is covered with Mercedes E, S or V Class — vehicle choice is matched to passenger count and luggage profile. Fare confirmed before departure, chauffeur in dark suit, flight tracking and 60 minutes of complimentary post-landing waiting included. The right choice for UNESCO and Baroque enthusiasts and premium art-history tours.
