About this route
Route overview
The Prague Airport to Františkovy Lázně route runs along the D5 motorway westwards and then road I/21 close to the German border. This is the westernmost corner of the Czech spa triangle inscribed on the UNESCO list in 2021 as the Great Spa Towns of Europe. Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) — founded by Emperor Franz I — is the oldest CO2-spring spa in Europe, operating since 1793. We cover the route with a Mercedes E, S or V Class at a fixed price confirmed before departure. The chauffeur, in a dark suit, meets guests in the arrivals hall, monitors the flight and waits 60 minutes after landing at no additional charge. The town counts only 5,500 residents and keeps an intimate character, with the geometric Empire-style Spa Park, the Glauber Spring Pavilion, the Old and New Colonnades, and the statue of František — the town's symbol whose touch is said to grant fertility. The transfer serves premium hotel guests specialising in gynaecology, circulation and regeneration. The route suits travellers seeking quiet, discreet UNESCO heritage — particularly valued by German-speaking guests familiar with the Franzensbad tradition.
