About this route
Route overview
Canary Wharf is London's second financial hub alongside the City — One Canada Square, HSBC Tower, Citi Group, and business hotels including Canary Riverside Plaza and the Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf. From Stansted the route runs down the M11, east on the A406 (North Circular), then onto the A1203 and Aspen Way into Canary Wharf — 55-65 km and 65-95 min off-peak, up to 110 min between 4 and 7 PM. The main bottleneck is the A406 North Circular — congestion is more or less constant in working hours. ExCeL London is just five minutes from Canary Wharf, so the same corridor serves conference and exhibition guests. The driver pulls up at the correct Stansted arrivals level to your flight number and waits with a name board.
