About this route
Route overview
LHR -> LTN is the long-haul to European low-cost connection scenario: a flight into Heathrow (BA, Virgin, Emirates, Qatar) and a departure out of Luton (Wizz Air, easyJet, Ryanair, TUI). 70 km and 65-95 min off-peak, up to 120 min in the afternoon peak (4-7 PM). The route follows the M25 anticlockwise (the northern orbital) to Junction 21, then the M1 north to Junction 10 and the Luton terminal. The main bottlenecks are the M25 between Junction 15 and Junction 21 and the M1 around Junction 6 to 10. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle overnight misconnects after a delayed long-haul. We recommend a 3 hour buffer before a Luton departure. The driver pulls up at the correct LHR terminal to your flight number (T2, T3, T4, T5) and delivers you to the Luton terminal.
