About this route
Route overview
LHR -> LGW is the most common inter-airport run in the UK — a long-haul flight into Heathrow (BA, Virgin, Emirates, Qatar) and a connection out of Gatwick (BA short-haul, easyJet, Wizz Air, TUI). 80 km and 75-110 min off-peak, up to 130 min in the afternoon peak (4-7 PM). The route follows the M25 clockwise (the western orbital) to Junction 7, then the M23 south to Gatwick South or North Terminal. The main bottleneck is the M25 between Junction 14 and Junction 7 — congestion is constant in working hours. The service operates 24/7, so we also handle overnight misconnects after a delayed long-haul flight. We recommend a 3-4 hour buffer before a Gatwick departure. The driver pulls up at the correct LHR terminal to your flight number (T2, T3, T4, T5) and delivers you to the specific Gatwick terminal (South or North).
