About this route
Route overview
Royal Greenwich is the UNESCO World Heritage Thames-side district — the Royal Observatory (the prime meridian), the Cutty Sark tea clipper, the National Maritime Museum, the Queen's House and the Old Royal Naval College. The driver pulls up to Gatwick South or North Terminal based on your flight number and waits in arrivals with a name board. Typical drive times from LGW are 75-105 min off-peak, up to 130 min in the afternoon peak (4-7 PM). The route follows M23 → M25 clockwise → Junction 3, then the A20 and A2 into Greenwich. Premium hotels nearby include The Pilot, InterContinental London – The O2 and discreet riverside guesthouses. Greenwich links quietly to ExCeL London through the Blackwall Tunnel — the choice of premium guests for London Tech Week, World Travel Market or the Defence and Security Equipment International conference. The LGW distance is longer than from LHR, but for easyJet, Wizz and TUI passengers it remains the natural choice.
