About this route
Route overview
The BTS -> PRG inter-airport route connects two hubs of Czechoslovak aviation history: 340 km and 3 h 30 min - 4 h of driving. We leave BTS on the D2 to Brno and continue on the D1 to Prague — the whole route on Czech motorway. PRG is a long-haul hub for Czech Airlines and a base for foreign carriers: Korean Air to Seoul, Delta to New York JFK, Emirates to Dubai, Qatar Airways to Doha. A cheap BTS arrival on Ryanair or Wizz Air and an intercontinental departure from Prague is a popular combo. The route also serves a CZ-SK 2-day multi-stop with a return flight from the other airport. The bottlenecks are the D1 around Brno (roadworks, up to 45 min added in the 7-9 and 16-19 peak hours) and the Prague south ring road during rush hour. The service runs 24/7. We recommend a 4 hour buffer for European departures, 5 hours for long-haul connections. Mercedes E-Class from EUR 1,300 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 1,600 for 4-6.
