About this route
Route overview
Door-to-door transfer Warsaw to Vilnius for guests who prefer a private car over a flight or train. About 430 km on the Via Baltica: the S8 from Warsaw to Bialystok, then the S61 via Lomza and Suwalki to the Budzisko crossing, and the Lithuanian A5 via Marijampole and Kaunas into Vilnius. The Polish-Lithuanian border is a Schengen crossing, so we pass it with no checks, no queue and an EU ID card alone. The whole route is motorway and expressway, and the same-day 5–6 h plan with breaks every 2–3 h is the standard choice. Vilnius was a Polish city until 1939 and still carries that heritage: the Gate of Dawn with Our Lady of Vilnius, Rasos Cemetery where the heart of Marshal Pilsudski rests, the Baroque UNESCO Old Town, Cathedral Square and Gediminas Hill. We match the car to the party: a Mercedes E-Class or S-Class for a couple or business travel, a V-Class for 4–6 passengers with no luggage limit. A fixed price confirmed at booking, one chauffeur and one number for the whole route, 24/7.
