About this route
Route overview
The Prague–Frýdek-Místek route runs along the D1 motorway through Brno and Ostrava, then D48 east. Frýdek-Místek is a twin town with the Frýdek Castle and the Místek market square, the gateway to the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy mountains. Lysá hora (1323 m, the highest Beskydy peak), the Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov and medieval Štramberk are all within reach. The Polish and Slovak borders are within a day-loop radius.
