About this route
Route overview
The Tower of London is a UNESCO World Heritage castle from 1066 — William the Conqueror's White Tower, the Crown Jewels, the Royal Mint, the Royal Armouries and the legendary Tower ravens. Tower Bridge, completed in 1894, is the iconic Victorian bascule bridge over the Thames. With 2.7 million visitors a year the Tower is the most-visited paid attraction in the United Kingdom. From Gatwick the route runs M23 -> M25 -> A23 -> Embankment -> Tower Hill and takes 75-110 min off-peak. The driver pulls up to the North or South Terminal based on your flight number and waits in arrivals with a name board. Hotels nearby: The Tower Hotel (riverside next to Tower Bridge), citizenM Tower of London, Hilton London Tower Bridge, Cheval Three Quays and Apex City of London. Tower Bridge sits beside the Cruise Terminal — the premium cruise embarkation point. The entire Mercedes fleet meets Euro 6 and is exempt from the ULEZ charge.
