About this route
Route overview
The GDN -> WAW inter-airport route is the classic Polish business connection: a Gdansk arrival (KLM, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT) and a continuation out of Chopin with LOT to the US (JFK, Toronto, Chicago) or Lufthansa/Turkish to Frankfurt, Istanbul or Tel Aviv. 340 km via the A1 to Lodz, then S8 to Warsaw, 3 h 30 min - 4 h 15 min off-peak. The bottlenecks are the A1 around the Tricity at exit during 7-9 and 16-19 and the S8 between Lodz and Warsaw on Friday afternoons (up to 90 min added). The service operates 24/7, so we also handle early Chopin departures (LOT to New York 10:55, Lufthansa to Frankfurt 6:25) after a Gdansk overnight arrival. We recommend a 5 hour buffer before an intercontinental departure from Chopin. The chauffeur pulls up at the GDN terminal with a name board and delivers you to the correct Chopin terminal (Zone A or B, matched to your flight number). Mercedes E-Class from EUR 1,500 for 1-3 passengers, V-Class from EUR 1,850 for 4-6 with luggage.
