Private Chauffeur from Warsaw to Lviv

We follow the E372 axis: the S2 to the Lubelska junction, the S17 past Garwolin, Ryki and Kurów to Lublin, the Lublin bypass to Piaski Wschód, then the single-carriageway DK17 through Krasnystaw, Zamość and Tomaszów Lubelski — only the short Tomaszów bypass is built to expressway standard — to the Hrebenne–Rava-Ruska crossing. On the Ukrainian side the M09/E372 runs through Rava-Ruska and Zhovkva onto the Lviv western bypass. Hrebenne is the default because it sits exactly on the axis of the route and adds no detour, while freight traffic concentrates at Korczowa. The Korczowa variant on the A4/E40 is 485 km; we take it when queues are long, deciding before Lublin after checking granica.gov.pl and kordon.gov.ua.

Driving time is around 5.5 hours. Border clearance adds 1-3 hours for cars, so 6.5-8.5 hours door to door is realistic. Queues are shortest overnight, roughly between 02:00 and 05:00, and on weekdays between 10:00 and 15:00; they are longest on Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons after 16:00 and around public holidays. For a morning meeting in Lviv we usually suggest leaving Warsaw at night: the crossing moves quickly and you enter the city at dawn. For an evening arrival we build in a margin, because movement in the Lviv region is restricted overnight. We check live waiting times before departure and again on the road, before Lublin.

Ukrainian airspace has been closed to civil aviation since 24 February 2022, and Lviv Danylo Halytskyi airport (LWO), which handled 1.8 million passengers in 2021, is not accepting flights. The final leg into western Ukraine is therefore driven, including for passengers landing at Warsaw Chopin. Rail in this corridor is thin: PKP Intercity 765/766 leaves Warszawa Zachodnia at 05:26 and reaches Rava-Ruska at 13:45, where the change of track gauge forces a transfer to a Ukrainian train; with luggage and the onward hop from Lviv-Holovnyi station that is over eight hours on a fixed timetable. A private car leaves at the hour you choose and finishes at your address.

We prepare the car's paperwork before departure; you only bring your passport.

In Warsaw we collect anywhere: Chopin Airport, Warsaw Modlin, Warszawa Centralna station, a hotel in Śródmieście, an office in Wola or a private address. We track flights, so a delayed arrival does not cost you the transfer — the chauffeur waits in the terminal. An ordinary Warsaw taxi will not cross into Ukraine, which is why the whole journey is done by one cross-border driver in one car. In Lviv we finish at a named address rather than on the outskirts: hotels around Rynok Square and prospekt Svobody, the Lviv Opera, Lviv-Holovnyi station, offices in the Frankivskyi and Halytskyi districts, Sykhiv and Lychakiv, and the Lychakiv Cemetery.
