About this route
Route overview
A transfer from Luton to Amsterdam runs via the Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais, then on the A16 in France, the E40 and E19 across Belgium (passing Brussels and Antwerp) and the A4/A2 motorways in the Netherlands. From LTN the journey runs M1 to M25, then M20 to Folkestone — 510 km in total and 9-11 hours door-to-door. Luton is the main Wizz Air base for routes from Poland (Modlin, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Katowice), so for clients arriving from Poland and continuing to Amsterdam this is a comfortable door-to-door alternative to a connecting flight or Eurostar interchange. Premium Amsterdam hotels on our drop list include the Conservatorium Hotel, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Hotel TwentySeven, De L'Europe and Sofitel Legend The Grand. The Eurotunnel runs 24/7, we book the slot in advance, and after the exit in Calais the journey continues on a single chain of motorways with no change of vehicle. On request we stop for lunch in Bruges or Antwerp — the break is built into the plan. The driver pulls up to the Luton terminal according to your flight number and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board.
