About this route
Route overview
The Brno-Tuřany Airport to Tugendhat Villa transfer is a short but profoundly meaningful ride for architectural pilgrims. About 12 km and 18 min across central Brno onto the Černá Pole hill. The Tugendhat Villa (1928-1930), designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich for the Tugendhat family, is today the most important example of international modernism in Central Europe — UNESCO inscribed in 2001. The onyx wall, the signature open-plan layout, the tropical mahogany, the panoramic glass that descends electrically into the floor — this is not "another building", it is one of the reference points of the 20th century. We handle photography visits as well as private tours with architects; museum tickets are booked a month ahead (capped at 15 guests per tour). Mercedes E or S Class — a short transfer, but always run with the respect this context deserves. Fixed fare, full flight tracking, 60 minutes of complimentary waiting, chauffeur in dark suit.
