About this route
Route overview
Trnava, often called the Slovak Rome, brings together Gothic and Baroque heritage with the oldest university tradition in the country (Universitas Tyrnaviensis, 1635). The short BTS–Trnava route works particularly well for delegations visiting the PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia plant, academic guests of Trnava University, and arrivals combining a flight with a heritage day-trip to St. Nicholas Cathedral and the Baroque town centre. The route follows the D1 motorway and R1 expressway — an operationally predictable segment that avoids Bratislava's ring road during peak hours.
