ABOUT THE TOUR
Karlovy Vary is the most renowned spa town in the Czech Republic, listed since 2021 on the UNESCO Great Spa Towns of Europe list. The cure tradition dates back to the 14th century, and Hotel Pupp, Carlsbad Plaza and Imperial have welcomed premium guests from across Europe for over a hundred years.
From Krakow the drive is around 4h45, from Wroclaw — around 3h15. We run the tour as a multi-departure: pickup from either city and return to the same address in the evening. In Karlovy Vary you have several hours for the colonnades, lunch, Diana Tower and a visit to one of the most renowned restaurants at Hotel Pupp.
The tour suits guests who appreciate a calm day — no museums with tickets, no mandatory entries. It is, above all, the experience of a spa town: a walk along the colonnades, the taste of warm mineral water from a porcelain cup and traditional Mattoni wafers.

PRACTICAL INFO
Poland and the Czech Republic are in the Schengen zone — a valid ID or passport is enough. No border checks.
Karlovy Vary works year-round. July is the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) — the town is then full. May, June and September are quieter.
The Czech Republic uses the Czech koruna (CZK). Most restaurants at Hotel Pupp and Carlsbad Plaza accept cards and euro, but for smaller purchases keep a few hundred koruna in cash.
Comfortable shoes (the colonnades have a slight slope and cobblestones). A light jacket for evenings in summer. Full winter clothing in winter — Karlovy Vary lies in a valley and can be cooler than Krakow.
Traditional Karlovarske oplatky are available everywhere. The most renowned are Kolonada and Mattoni — they differ in thickness and filling. A great gift.
The characteristic cup with a side spout (where you sip the mineral water) is the quintessential Karlovy Vary souvenir. Best quality: Thun 1794.

TESTIMONIALS
Karlovy Vary in one day sounded ambitious, but it was perfectly planned. Mercedes from the hotel, a chauffeur who pointed out Mlynska colonnade and recommended lunch at Embassy. Zero logistical stress.
We left from Wroclaw, so the route was shorter. Hotel Pupp at lunch was impressive — the chauffeur booked the table in advance. By the evening we were back in Wroclaw, as if we had only stepped out for lunch.
Souvenirs — a porcelain cup with a spout and Mattoni wafers. A great day, plenty of walking, an ideal return.
