About the trip

What you will experience

The Auschwitz-Birkenau complex comprises two connected sites three kilometres apart: Auschwitz I — the original camp established in 1940 — and Auschwitz II-Birkenau — the vast extermination camp built in 1942, through which more than one million Jews were murdered in its gas chambers. This private full-day tour from Kraków gives your group the time to visit both sites without pressure. At Auschwitz I, guests move through the block exhibitions documenting the crime — personal belongings, photographs, and documents — followed by Block 11, the Wall of Death, and Crematorium I. At Birkenau, the route takes in the railway ramp where deportees arrived directly to selection, wooden and brick barracks, latrines, the ruins of Gas Chambers II and III, and the International Monument to the Victims. A licensed museum guide accompanies the group throughout, providing accurate and considered historical context. As a fully private tour, there is no joining with public groups — the pace is adapted to your group. The Mercedes V-Class transfers guests between the two sites and returns to Kraków after the visit.

Przewodnik

Twój ekspert

Visiting both camps requires the presence of a licensed museum guide — a condition set by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. Our guides hold accreditation from the Museum Education Department and update their knowledge regularly. A full-day visit across two sites is emotionally and intellectually demanding; an experienced guide calibrates the depth and pace of the narrative to the needs of the group, whether guests are visiting for the first time or returning for personal or research purposes.
