ABOUT THE TOUR
Cesky Krumlov is a UNESCO-listed town in southern Bohemia, known for the meandering Vltava that wraps the Old Town from three sides. The Cesky Krumlov castle is the second-largest castle complex in the Czech Republic after Hradcany, and inside it is Europe's oldest preserved baroque theatre (1681).
The tour is designed as a 2-day trip because the route from Krakow is around 580 km and 6 hours one way. The first day starts at dawn with a Krakow pickup; by midday we reach Krumlov. After lunch and an initial walk, we stay overnight in one of the Old Town hotels. Day two covers the castle, baroque theatre (when in season), Egon Schiele Art Centre and the return.
An evening in Cesky Krumlov is one of the most memorable Central European travel experiences. A car-free Old Town, dinner in a riverside restaurant and the panorama of the castle illuminated at night.

FAQ
Cesky Krumlov is 580 km from Krakow (~6h one way). To visit the castle, baroque theatre, Old Town and Egon Schiele Art Centre without rushing, you need a full 2-day stay. A one-day version is possible but takes 12-13 hours total and leaves no time for the evening in the Old Town — which for many guests is the highlight.
We reserve the hotel on your behalf, but the cost is on the client side. We recommend Hotel Ruze (★★★★, in the heart of the Old Town), Hotel Old Inn or Hotel Zlaty Andel. 4-star standard in season: 130-260 EUR/room.
No. Poland and the Czech Republic are in the Schengen zone. A valid ID document is enough.
The theatre operates seasonally — April-October. Tickets need advance booking (limit ~30 people per slot). Happy to arrange tickets before your arrival.
The package covers transport and a full day with the chauffeur at your disposal. Castle tickets (~280 CZK) and baroque theatre (~250 CZK) — optional, on the client side. Happy to book in advance.
Yes, but only as a very long day (~13-14h). We recommend the 2-day option, because the evening in the Old Town is the highlight for most guests.
TESTIMONIALS
Cesky Krumlov met every expectation. Evening in the Old Town, panorama of the illuminated castle, a calm return on day two. Mercedes V-Class for 5 — if anyone got tired, the car was a quiet refuge.
Hotel Ruze in the heart of the Old Town — the chauffeur arranged the booking. Day two: the castle with an English-Polish guide and the baroque theatre — the oldest stage of its kind in Europe. Quite something.
