ABOUT THE TOUR

Medieval power forged in brick

Malbork Castle — Marienburg in German — is the largest Gothic brick castle in the world and one of the most important medieval fortresses in Europe. From 1309 it was the seat of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order, who ruled the monastic state on the Baltic from here. 21 hectares of walls, three castles in one (High, Middle, Low), UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

60 km of A1 motorway separate the castle from Gdansk — 50 minutes of comfortable driving. But the difference between modern Gdansk and Malbork's castle courtyard is seven centuries. We pick you up from your hotel, park right by the entrance and wait patiently. You enter with your ticket ready and audioguide in hand.

The visiting route takes 2–3 hours — the Palace of the Grand Masters, Church of the Virgin Mary, monastic quarters, treasury with amber collection. If you need more time, we don't watch the clock. When you leave, your driver is waiting to take you to lunch in Malbork or straight back to Gdansk.

TESTIMONIALS

What our guests say

The castle impresses by sheer scale — 21 hectares, three castles in one. The audioguide in English was excellent, the driver waited patiently, and lunch by the Nogat River that he suggested was spot on.

William & Charlotte H. London

First time visiting Malbork with the kids (8 and 11). They loved the knights and cloisters, the audioguide with kids' version was great. The driver helped with bags and was incredibly patient.

The Millers Boston

I used to come by train — 35 minutes plus 15 minutes on foot from the station. This time Mercedes straight to the gate. Massive difference, especially in winter.

Ethan D. Toronto

We brought German clients on a business visit. Audioguide in German, comfortable drive, driver parked 50 m from the entrance. Clients were very impressed — both with the castle and the service.
